Independence Day Parade July 3, 2021

7/3 update:

Wear your patriotic or Elvis outfits.

If you are borrowing an Elvis jumpsuit, we will bring to the staging area or text/call if you want to pick up prior to the parade.

We will be passing out leis as we walk.

When you get to registration at the staging area, they will tell you where Lovis is placed in line. We plan to be there at 4:50 p.m.

WALKERS

Be at the staging area (Maderia High School, 7465 Loannes Drive) by 5:45 p.m. The parade starts at 6 p.m.

THERE IS NO PARKING AT THE HIGH SCHOOL. ONLY THE VEHICLE REGISTERED IN THE PARADE WILL HAVE ACCESS TO THE HIGH SCHOOL PARKING LOT.

Since the parade ends at St. Gertrude Church, I’d recommend parking there and taking the shuttle to the staging area.

St. Gertrude Church, 7630 Shawnee Run Road (after 4:45 p.m.)

Take the shuttle bus to the high school (The last shuttle will leave St. Gertrude Church at 5:15 p.m.)

Madeira Middle School, 6612 Miami Avenue (4:00 – 4:45 p.m.)

Connections Christian Church. 7421 E. Galbraith Road

St. Paul United Methodist Church, 8221 Miami Avenue (Walk to the high school)

WHEELCHAIRS

Miami Road will be closed at 5 so make sure you get dropped off before the road closes. Miami is the only access into the staging area at the high school.

Join Lovis in the Madeira, Ohio Independence Day parade. Our inspiration, Logan Brinson, was an Elvis Tribute Artist and he enjoyed dressing as Elvis when he participated in the parade. Our volunteers continue this tradition and spread a lot of joy! We ask that walkers dress either as Elvis or patriotic. We welcome all abilities to join us in the parade.

The annual Madeira, Ohio Independence Day Parade is on Saturday, July 3, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. (Check-in begins at 5:00 p.m. and ends at 5:45 p.m.) The parade will proceed south on Miami Avenue ending at St. Gertrude Parish which is a little over one mile.

After the parade, stay to enjoy Madeira’s Independence Day Celebration at McDonald Commons Park, 7451 Dawson Road with live music and a variety of food. Fireworks will close the event at approximately 10:00 p.m.
