We are thrilled to announce that our first ETA Rising Star Award winner is Brody Finlay!
Brody is a 21 year old Elvis Tribute Artist (ETA) from Sydney, Australia. When asked why he is an ETA, Brody shared that his love of Elvis and his music carried him through a difficult situation in his childhood. He said, “Elvis was always more than an artist to me. He was my best friend, a person I could find comfort in and his music was a way for me to escape reality.” When Brody was 18, he realized he was heading down a path of self-destruction and it was Elvis’ music that turned him around. Brody wants to share with the world how amazing the music is and what it can do for your life. He finds absolute joy being on stage and creating an atmosphere where people can have a great time. Congratulations, Brody! Lovis is proud to recognize you as our first ETA Rising Star Award Winner!
Brody will receive $1,000 USD from the Lovis Foundation to be used toward competition related fees, costumes & travel expenses and $1,000 off a jumpsuit from B&K Enterprises Costume Co. Inc.
We would also like to congratulate Ryan Williams, who is our 2nd place winner. Ryan’s application and essay demonstrate his passion to make a difference in the spirit of Elvis. He truly has the heart of the King of Rock and Roll. Ryan will receive $250 USD from the Lovis Foundation to be used toward competition related fees, costumes & travel expenses and a 40% discount from B&K Enterprises Costume Co. Inc.
Winners were selected by committee. Contestants were given points based on their essay, the application and the video of themselves singing, “Amazing Grace.”
